Two Days At Once

No blog post yesterday, so today is a catchup. Yesterday afternoon we took Bella for a two-centre walk, starting in Widcombe at Bath Abbey Cemetery.
Great memorials of all sorts, including this phoenix.
I can understand the urn, but why did they want to drape it with a cloak?
No delusions of grandeur at all on display...
The church at the top of the site.
Some of the tombstones are so eroded that they have ceased to be of any use as memorials.
Great views across the city to the other side of Bath.
After we had finished that walk, we went across to the other side of the city to give Bella part II of her walk in Primrose Woods where I spotted this unusual numberplate.
Great skies once the rain had finally moved off.
Back at home, I looked out of the upstairs window and saw we'll have lots of bunches of grapes in a few months time (as long as we get a bit more sun).
Most of the my day was involved with the bathroom floor, which is now about 80% finished ( the rest is tomorrow's job).
Out with Bella this morning, admired this rose in a neighbour's garden.
Raindrops glistening on these dark leaves always catch my eye.
Su took me out for lunch at Chequers as a Fathers' Day treat. On the way, we came across these untidily arranged road barriers and speculated whether their arrangement was due to last night's wind or revellers.
As a former chemist, I suspect that this has different connotations for me than for the firm (I guess they are thinking Ionic columns etc.)
Talking of columns, this is Doric House up on Sion Hill where we walked after our lunch.
Came home for coffee and cake before going out with Bella to Alice Park.  Greatly taken with this shelter for the Community Garden there - organised by Transition Larkhall and funded by the lottery.
Lots of growth on the trees there
Very pretty flowers - not sure what they are.
Spotted above the fence, a rather neatly built treehouse - is it from a kit?
Only in Bath, darling:-) - Petanque!
Today's abandoned item of clothing left on the park railings. Came home and watched "Surrogates" with Bruce Willis and Rosamund Pike - nice ideas, but underscripted.
This day a year and a day ago, I met up with Bob Lang at Chew Valley Lake where he surrendered for his crimes against fashion.
This day a year ago, I admired this new graffito by Tat.
